Tarot.

From http://spiritualguidancetarot.com/chooseacard.html
-------------------------------------------------------

Position 1: This is the background of your reading, tells you what the main focus is, what area is of most concern presently.

Two of Pentacles (Coins)
1st Position:
Focuses on waiting, anxiety over outcomes, feeling that your efforts are in vain, discouragement , trying to find stability. Difficulty balancing certain areas of your life at this time.

Position 2: This card tells what your motivations are, why you are compelled to do certain things,etc.. it is your drive.

Queen of Swords
2nd Position:
You want to be at peace with yourself and to keep up the initiative in a new endeavor, cutting away anything that may stand in your way.

Position 3: This is the card that indicates problems & fears that you need to address and clear away. This can be subconscious blocks to your progress.

King of Swords
3rd Position:
You have lost faith in yourself or your sense of purpose. There may be feelings of unexpressed resentment towards yourself and the Universe/God. you are bothered by uncertainty and feel a need to know answers in advance to avoid failure. The mind has become overactive and you have a tendency to react (possibly overreact) rather than plan actions carefully.

Position 4: This card tells you what you need to focus on that you are not aware of or that you are not perceiving fully at this time. It's purpose is to help you gain some perspective and is often a surprise.

Temperance
4th Position:
Reforming old habits, changing your beliefs, learning to take a more proactive approach to your life. What we believe we create, and what we focus on tends to be drawn to us. If we focus on feelings of "I Can't" or "I don't have enough" we draw limitation and lack to us. Learn to counter negatives with positives, learn to respect and enjoy all things in moderation. Too much of anything can have reverse effects. Balance and counterbalance are the lessons of this card.

Position 5: This card is an action plan that focuses on the best way to proceed from here, how to use the advice given in the previous positions to your benefit.

Eight of Swords
5th Position:
Time to remove the blindfold and see the situation full circle rather than just the straight and narrow. The power to change situations lies within. In this card the woman is bound and blindfolded, surrounded by danger - but her legs are free.

It did, actually. Not stuff I don't already know... but, of course, that's how many tarot readings are. Definitely did put some issues into focus. And, as usual for me, the suit of swords featured prominently.

Pretty cool site, although the layout of cards (from which you randomly "click") never changes. So I doubt I'd go there for repeat readings, lest I start to remember (consciously or subconsciously) their layout.
